Holiday Heroes: A Magic Initiative
Making the holidays a little more magical for those who need it most.
Service Description
We believe everyone deserves a little magic during the holidays. Each year, during Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, we donate a limited number of complimentary character visits to organizations and communities who may not otherwise have the opportunity or resources to experience the magic of our characters. Our Holiday Heroes: A Magic Initiative is available to hospitals, nursing homes, special education schools and programs, children's organizations, community organizations, and other facilities serving individuals who could benefit from a little extra holiday joy. Our characters may visit for a complimentary holiday meet & greet, bringing smiles, photos, hugs, and a little bit of the magic that makes the holidays so special. How It Works: Because these visits are generously donated by our company and performers, we are only able to offer a very limited number of complimentary visits each holiday season. We will accept applications throughout the year and place eligible organizations on a waiting list for the holiday they are interested in. For each holiday, we will carefully select 1–2 organizations to receive a complimentary visit. Selection is based on a variety of factors, including the needs of the organization, the individuals it serves, scheduling, location, and our ability to provide a meaningful and magical experience. Submitting an application does not guarantee a visit. Organizations not selected for a particular holiday may remain on our waiting list and may be considered for future opportunities. Why We Do It: The holidays can look very different for everyone. Some children, families, seniors, and individuals with special needs may be spending the holidays in a hospital, care facility, school, or other setting rather than celebrating at home. We want to help change that — even if it's just for an hour. Because sometimes a princess walking through the door, a favorite character giving a hug, or a little holiday magic can create a memory that lasts far beyond the visit itself. We may not be able to visit everyone, but we hope the little bit of magic we can give makes a BIG difference. Because our Holiday Heroes: A Magic Initiative is made possible through donated time from our company and performers, availability is extremely limited. We sincerely appreciate your understanding if we are unable to accommodate your organization this year!
